The background you see here, is the beautiful underwater photography of a Stubby Squid, under Puget Sound, taken by SCOTT FREEMAN of Seattle. More of his beautiful work can be seen on his underwater photography page. His photography is COPYRIGHTED and used here with his permission.

I was astounded when I saw that we had the same Name/spelling !!!!!! I have never seen anyone with that spelling before !!! Just happened upon your web page ... enjoyed it. Especially all of the places that you have lived. I will be reading more when I get over that shock of seeing "my" name on the screen !!!(ha,ha) I could spend hours here.

To preserve heritages of the many immigrants that formed the melting pot that now occupies this country and many other nations as well. For so many years in was so difficult and expensive to research one's back ground that there is a lot of information buried so deep that it is almost impossible to uncover the back grounds. To go back several generations is often very difficult. I believe that polling resourses to assist in perserving heritages is important to all of us.

I just met my first cousin last April. His wife of 30 years had just died. We became friends. He is 54 and I am 48, we are athletic, energetic and look good. I have dated hundreds of guys in my life and I knew he was perfect for me. Your site made it OK for me to change the realationship to something more.

I live in Ohio and am in love with my first cousin once removed and becaus we are first cousins instead of second or third ...we can't get married in this state. We are both over 40 and can have no more children. Can anyone email me and tell me the closest state where we can get married?

This is an example of people too cheap to send $5.00 for the answer. This site is not non-profit, but it has never paid for its cost, let alone any type of wage for the many hours spent for the public welfare.

Neat site. I really appreciate your forthright and outspoken manner. Keep it up...!

TO: "Bethany" (entry below)

HAVING A BAD HAIR DAY, eh?
We are sorry you are having problems, but there is no way in "hell" (as you put it) that we can offer any assistance if you don't give us any information as to what and where your problem is.

We suggest you take a Valium and read: http://www.janyce.com/gene/NEWBIE.HTML#REPORT

To all others: This is a good example of how not to report problems. See also: an example.

This is the second complaint about "lack of organization." which is quite a mystery to us as we have one of the best organized sites you will find. This leads us to suspect there is a bad or missing link somewhere.
If anyone spots the problem (if there is one), please use the report a problem link at the bottom of the page. It would take days to locate a bad link somewhere on our 2,000 web pages.
We would also appreciate a more civilized language. We feel there is no reason to use the kind of language as you did. Additionally, we don't usually check the entries here; so the proper way to get help or report problems is by e-mail.

Thank you for your cooperation;
- janyce

You didn't seem to have any problem entering your complaint and we noticed you are too ashamed to leave your address instead of "I have one but I do not wish to share" - janyce

I've been interested in tracing my family tree back to as far as possible. I'd love some help.

Have been researching for 15 years, but new to internet research. I'll keep checking this site as have found several people reserching same family names. Wish I knew where on internet to locate others with
